Job Overview:
Bannister Plumbing & Air is seeking an experienced Plumbing and HVAC Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive training to new and existing employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to excel in plumbing and HVAC services. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs for plumbing and HVAC technicians, including hands-on demonstrations, classroom instruction, and safety training.
- Assess employee skills and knowledge levels to tailor training programs accordingly.
- Stay current on industry best practices, regulations, and new technologies, and incorporate them into training materials and lessons.
- Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to new hires, helping them develop technical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor trainee progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure competency in plumbing and HVAC tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of training sessions, certifications, and employee progress.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in training and develop strategies for continuous learning and development.
- Ensure that all training activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Job requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the plumbing and HVAC industries, with a deep understanding of both systems.
- Prior experience in a training, teaching, or mentoring role within the trades, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to develop and implement training materials, both for classroom and hands-on settings.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training sessions simultaneously.
- Certification in plumbing and HVAC (e.x., Journeyman, Master, NATE, etc.) is preferred.
